Carolyn Taylor is a supportive cancer care advocate. She is Founder and Executive Director of Global Focus on Cancer (GFC), a non-profit organization that acts as an agent of simple and effective change to help reduce the global burden of cancer. Carolyn brings her lived experience of ovarian and endometrial cancers and leverages her skills to build broad-based partnerships and alliances to introduce culturally relevant, evidence-based, cancer awareness and supportive initiatives in low-resource settings. She has been a contributing author on more than 15 peer reviewed published articles including the Lancet Commission; Women, power and cancer. Carolyn is a Steering Committee Member of the WHO Symposium on Meaningful Engagement, an Advisory Board Member of the Asia Pacific Oncology Alliance, a frequent speaker/moderator at global cancer conferences, and since 2016, has served as the co-founder and co-chair of the annual SE Asia Breast Cancer Symposium.
